the streamlined boat-tail body and colourful lithographed decoration perfectly reflect the fascination with speed, racing and streamline moderne / art deco styling characteristic of pre-war toy design.

the body bears the original mar toys – made in united states of america manufacturer’s marking.

* visible scratches, surface wear, dirt and localised corrosion
* more pronounced wear, paint loss and deformation of the tinplate around the front section

despite the non-working mechanism, this remains a highly decorative and collectible early american tin toy, particularly attractive due to its impressive size, original lithography and classic streamlined racing-car form. This piece has an attribution mark,
