Impressive pair of large 19th-century English ceramic vases by Lewis Woolf, decorated in a classic cobalt blue and white transferware pattern.

Both pieces are marked Lewis Woolf and “Rhein”, identifying the decorative series. The design features detailed landscape and figural scenes surrounded by an elaborate border of scrolling vine and foliate motifs.
