A collectible pair of 1930s modernist bentwood dining / side chairs (Model A 63), designed by Josef Frank for Thonet-Mundus. Featuring Frank’s signature interpretation of the spindle-back aesthetic executed in Thonet’s proprietary steam-bent beechwood, these chairs showcase high vertical back splats and a molded plywood seat designed for supreme comfort and enduring durability. Condition Report: Preserved in original vintage condition. Strong and stable frames with no loose joints. The original finish displays natural surface patina, authentic edge wear, light scuffs, and finish fading typical for unpolished 1930s bentwood pieces. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
