The design is stylistically inspired by the iconic ice-glass lamps of the traditional austrian brand kalmar. Instead of being made of heavy, solid cast glass, the east german designers cleverly opted for textured acrylic glass with an ice-glass appearance. The relief-like elements convincingly mimic the frozen glass effect, yet are significantly easier to care for and in no way detract from the elegant appearance. The ingenious construction is supported in the center by a solid metal rod and is built on two symmetrical rings. The inner ring protrudes subtly below the outer ring. Thanks to the seamlessly suspended acrylic elements, the chandelier appears as two closed, floating glass wreaths. As soon as the light is switched on, it refracts artfully within the structure, creating a fantastic, warm sparkle throughout the room. Please note: due to the sturdy construction and vertical rod design, a stable ceiling mount or secure hook is absolutely essential.
