Decorative bowl made from thick art glass in the sommerso technique, combining clear glass with a deep green inner layer.
The sculptural triangular form with dramatically upturned corners is characteristic of Italian art glass associated with Murano design of the 1960s and 1970s. The substantial thickness of the glass beautifully refracts light and emphasises the contrast between the transparent outer layer and rich green interior.
A striking decorative object that works equally well as a functional bowl, centrepiece or sculptural accent in a Mid-Century Modern interior.
Condition: Very good, with only minor signs of use on the underside.
