Balmoral is a vintage line of blue & white earthenware manufactured in (then) Holland by the historic Petrus Regout & Co. (trademark Royal Sphinx Maastricht). It is a sought-after pattern for blue & white collections because it is both bold and charming, showcasing traditional transferware floral motifs reminiscent of classic Delft blue pottery.
I have been collecting blue & white plates for 20+ years, most of them coming from a source in Europe (back when the postage was still affordable). I'm very picky about condition and quality, and he never disappointed.
Somewhere along the way, I decided to use only plates and platters with horses, so the others I had been collecting are no longer needed. I'm offering those 20+ plates and platters for sale -- be sure to look at my other listings if you're a blue & white fan, as I am.
This soup plate is in pristine condition (see condition notes) and it's one you'll be proud to own.
