A lovely antique lacquered chinoiserie stool in the Georgian style. This was made in England, it dates from around the 1900-1920 period.
The quality is great, it is a petite and useful size, perfect for various settings around the home. The lacquered finish has a black background, with wonderful traditional oriental decorations throughout.
We have had this revived and re-polished, the drop in seat has been re-upholstered in a cream cotton fabric. The condition is excellent, with just some minor historical wear here and there.
