Large vintage reproduction after Sir Edwin Landseer's celebrated 1838 painting "A Distinguished Member of the Humane Society", featuring a Newfoundland-type rescue dog named Paul Pry. This is a hand colored engraving from an old plate and is presented in an impressive burl wood frame. The reverse retains the original W King Ambler label. This is s striking piece of traditional english animal art and presents beautifully.
