Small dings, scratches, and weld splatter are from original fabrication or working repairs — evidence of hand craftsmanship and use, not damage. The wear groove on the pour spout is from a pour chain — a brass or copper chain that secured the spout cap and guided the oil flow during pouring. The original chain anchor ring and wire remnant remain on the body above the maker's plate. Please see photos. less
