Colored lithograph with pouchoir details on ivory colored paper. Beautiful satiric illustration by the French draftsman Paul Gavarni (alias Guillaume Sulpice Chevalier, 1804-1866). Plate 54, from the series Les Débardeurs, Aubert and C.ie, Paris, 1848. Numbered on plate on lower-left corner. With the amusing and smart printed capture on lower margin:''Montrer à cheval sur le cou d'un homme qu'on ne connait pas, t'appelle ça plaisanter, toi''. in very good condition. Including passepartput, dim: cm 49 x 34. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
