The lamp is anchored by a substantial naturally formed stone captured within sweeping bands of dark patinated iron. From the base, the iron framework extends organically upward in a graceful curved line to support the light, creating an almost free-form sculptural composition.
A particularly charming detail is the pull-chain switch terminating in a small coordinating stone weight, reinforcing the lamp’s organic, handcrafted aesthetic.
The tall cylindrical shade appears to be constructed from a translucent fibrous material incorporating visible natural plant-like fibers and fragments. When illuminated, the shade produces a beautiful warm amber glow and dramatically reveals its texture.
The juxtaposition of raw natural stone, aged iron and translucent fiber gives the lamp a distinctly 1950s–1960s organic modern character, bridging Mid-Century Modern, Brutalist and studio-crafted design.
