Elegant vintage round center table by Maitland-Smith, handcrafted in the Philippines and retaining its original manufacturer’s label.
The table features a beautifully figured flame/crotch mahogany veneered top arranged in a dramatic radial sunburst pattern, surrounded by a contrasting figured border. The substantial round apron rests on a sculptural Regency-inspired pedestal base composed of three sweeping scroll-form supports accented with floral rosette details.
The base terminates in gracefully curved legs fitted with brass caps and original brass casters, adding both functionality and a refined classical detail.
With its rich mahogany coloration, dramatic veneer work and architectural pedestal, this is an impressive statement piece well suited for use as an entry or center hall table, library table, game table, or oversized accent table.
