This pair of finely crafted and beautifully detailed chairs were manufactured by David Edward Furniture in Baltimore, Maryland (please see last 3 photos -- they show the original ticket, still affixed to the bottom of the chair.)
As quoted by an online source: "The David Edward name is synonymous with the highest quality upholstery products in the furniture industry. Their products are generally specified by architects and designers, represented through a network of independent representatives, and sold through authorized furniture dealerships."
The company was founded in 1963, and was later acquired by Kimball.
The chairs have some minor surface defects, but otherwise they are in excellent condition.

Because of the pattern, none of these stand out, but reupholstery would still be a good idea. Other that these, the chairs are in excellent condition. They are sturdy and very solid -- just try to pick one up! The feet are also in very good condition and the wood appears to be cherry. less
