A beautifully ornate vintage wall mirror with an elegant sculptural silhouette and richly detailed gilt-gold frame, attributed to Bassett Mirror Company.
The shaped frame features sweeping curves, layered molding, scrolling flourishes, floral-inspired ornament, and dimensional detailing throughout. Its warm gold finish gives the frame wonderful depth and a distinctly glamorous Hollywood Regency / French Provincial character.
At approximately 35 inches tall by 24 inches wide, it has substantial decorative presence without being overwhelmingly large, making it versatile for an entryway, bedroom, dressing area, powder room, living room, or above a console.
The reverse retains its original hanging hardware/backing construction, including a handwritten “1107” notation. Bassett Mirror is well documented for ornate gold-finished mirrors produced in molded/synthetic materials, including examples in this exact general size range.
A gorgeous statement piece for a Hollywood Regency, French Provincial, Rococo Revival, traditional, maximalist, or eclectic interior.
