We are selling this charming folk art painting of a girl. This oil on canvas painting is possibly a student or folk artist, the girl is charming and sits with an open book gazing out at the viewer. What makes the painting interesting is the very modernist/unfinished approach to the background. The painting is housed in a nice worn Greek revival frame and the back of the canvas has an old Frost and Adams Stamp from Boston Artist Materials provider. The painting is late 19th century, probably circa 1860-1880.
Condition: Good antique condition. Heavy wear to the frame.
