For sale is a charming, original Biedermeier reading desk/writing desk made of solid softwood – a rare and characterful classic with a rustic appeal and practical function. Dating from around 1830–1850, the desk exhibits the simple elegance typical of the Biedermeier period, combined with a functional design. The beveled writing surface gives the piece a charming silhouette and makes it the perfect place for taking notes, storage, or decorative display. Behind the two doors is a neat interior with a shelf – ideal for books, documents, or household items. The desk comes with a key; the locks are functional and include the correct key.
