Large matte porcelain wall plate from Gilbert Portanier’s “Alta Mira” series for Rosenthal Studio-Line, produced in Germany during the late 20th century.
The white porcelain surface is decorated with abstract, Mediterranean-inspired motifs in cobalt blue, earthy red, green and ochre. A broad blue border frames the composition and gives the piece a strong graphic presence. with its generous 36 cm diameter and shallow sculptural form, it can be displayed as wall art or placed horizontally as a decorative bowl. Integrated hanging holes are located on the reverse. The display stand is not included.
