The highly conceptual composition juxtaposes traditional Japanese dress with the geometry of venetian blinds, creating a surreal image of a figure seemingly caught between concealment and emergence. Across the bottom appears the evocative line:

“A modern Japanese butterfly struggling out of her techno-cocoon.”

Rendered primarily in atmospheric teal and cream, the restrained photographic palette is contrasted by expressive orange handwritten typography across the upper portion of the poster. The result feels simultaneously graphic, architectural and fashion-forward.
