The tall open form features dramatically twisted iron uprights, an aged gilt and green patina, and multiple large spiral motifs incorporated throughout the sides. The combination of geometric structure, exaggerated scale, and wonderfully over-the-top decorative details gives this piece a distinctly postmodern character.

The frame is the star of the piece—substantial, architectural, and highly dimensional with an almost fantastical quality. The finish has a beautifully aged, variegated surface with warm gold, bronze, green, and brown tones.

The four wood shelves are newer plywood and are removable. They currently rest in place on the frame and are not permanently attached, so they could easily be replaced or refinished according to the buyer’s preference.

A fantastic statement piece for displaying books, pottery, sculpture, art objects, or collected curiosities. Equally at home in a sophisticated traditional interior or a more eclectic, maximalist space. See less
