A striking and highly stylized mid-century ceramic lamp from the Los Angeles lamp studio Nardini. Judging by other Nardini styles, this one probably dates from the 1950s or very early 1960s, with its very Los Angeles Chinoiserie Hollywood Regency style of the time.
The main body of the lamp is ivory with a olive gold raised cherry tree motif. It sits on a black lacquer base. The silk shade was bought later and has a gold silk lining.
It measures 21.5" high to the base of the socket, and 29.5" high to the top of the shade.
It is in very good vintage condition for its age, with one small missing petal tip and some chipping to the black lacquer on one foot of the base, both shown in the photos. The ceramic body and remaining raised decoration are in very good condition. Wiring appears original and is in good condition.
