The design showcases the classic "Dragon and Phoenix" motif—a traditional Chinese symbol of ultimate marital harmony, balance, and prosperity.

The vases feature a brilliant, heavily gilded gold-toned background, which beautifully highlights the intricate enamel work. One vase features a fierce, writhing blue-scaled dragon, while the other displays a graceful phoenix with vibrant red, green, and blue plumage. Both figures are surrounded by a profusion of blooming white plum blossoms and delicate leaves.

The vases boast a traditional baluster shape with a flared rim and a spread foot. The rims, shoulders, and base are accented with scalloped borders of deep blue enamel. They are in very good vintage condition with a warm, aged patina on the exposed metal edges, adding to their antique charm.
