A handsome pair of vintage Homestead House upholstered armchairs combining French Provincial styling with generously proportioned, comfortable seating. Gracefully shaped exposed wood frames feature curved arms, carved detailing and cabriole-style front legs, giving the chairs an elegant traditional profile.
The chairs retain their original textured damask upholstery in a sophisticated palette of muted vermillion/rust, taupe, cream and sage-gray. Coordinating lumbar pillows complement the upholstery and are included.
Original labels identify the chairs as Homestead House, made exclusively by Touchstone Upholstery Co., Inc., Santa Ana, California, providing documented American-made vintage provenance.
The warm wood frames and richly patterned upholstery make these particularly well suited to French Provincial, Traditional, European-inspired or collected interiors. Their substantial scale also allows them to work beautifully as fireside chairs, library chairs, bedroom seating or as a matched pair flanking a console or occasional table.
