The weaving is suspended inside a dark stained wood frame with exposed natural threads, which gives the whole piece a great handmade look and lots of texture.

The earthy colors and simple wood frame have a definite 1970s boho / folk art feel. It’s a fun decorative piece that would look great mixed into a gallery wall or displayed on its own.

The back is unfinished/open as originally constructed, with the exposed vertical warp threads visible behind the woven panel which is completely normal for this type of woven fiber art. Threads show some age-related unevenness, fuzziness and a few loose ends, but the weaving remains intact and securely attached to the frame.

Condition: Good vintage condition with normal wear from age and use. The textile is still full and nicely textured, with some fuzziness, loose fibers, uneven threads and minor fraying here and there.
