This original pair of armchairs originating from the 1930s represents an exceptional and highly valued example of Czechoslovak design production designed by the renowned designer Anton Lorenz. Manufactured by the famous company Mücke-Melder and designated as model Fn 21 Famos, the set carries the characteristic and popular spirit of the bauhaus style. The visual appearance of the furniture is primarily defined by a precisely crafted structure made of chromed steel and high-quality upholstery, characterized by high elegance and absolute cleanliness of detail. The entire design reflects the innovative approach of the time and places maximum emphasis on clean lines, purposefulness, and visual lightness.
The items have undergone a complete, highly professional, and sensitive renovation carried out with the utmost regard for preserving original authenticity. Part of this professional care was a professional treatment including professionally cleaned chrome, revived polish of the armrests, and new professional upholstery made exactly according to the original design, which fully emphasizes the natural beauty and structure of the used materials. Thanks to this precise renovation, the armchairs are fully ready for immediate and safe use in an interior.
Owing to first-class craftsmanship, documented designer origin, and a strong period character, this exceptional pair possesses high aesthetic and collector value. In a contemporary modern or carefully furnished interior, they stand out as a striking and highly elegant element that imparts an unmistakable charm and the authentic atmosphere of the 1930s to the space. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
