Zawitz and patented in 1981, the large-scale sculpture Tangle represents one of the most fascinating intersections between kinetic art, interactive design, and postmodern sculpture of the late 20th century.

The Tangle is conceived as a continuous, segmented form composed of interconnected, curved segments and is designed as a three-dimensional exploration of movement, geometry, and endless transformation.

The Tangle originates from an artistic movement that Zawitz termed Curvism, in which sculpture offers the possibility of establishing a physical connection to infinity through an infinite series of changing forms via material form.

Zawitz developed the form from influences of Zen, Taoism, and Asian calligraphy. This creative impulse is particularly evident in the black edition. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
