Each section … Read more This Mid-20th century Turkish Anatolian room-size carpet presents a tripartite composition assembled from three vertically oriented geometric panels. Each section carries its own rhythm and palette, yet the shared use of terracotta, brick red, orange, taupe, ivory, gray, and black unifies the design. The left panel features four linked stepped lozenges with compact angular emblems, bordered by repeating zigzag devices. The center displays a vertical chain of finely patterned diamonds on a warm red ground, framed by narrow striped and triangular guards. The right panel shows three large connected octagonal forms, each centered by a star-like device and enclosed by stepped ivory outlines. Horizontal striped bands at the upper and lower ends add structure. The combination of bold geometry, varied scale, and patchwork-like organization gives the carpet a strong folk-modern presence, well suited to a living room, dining area, library, or eclectic contemporary interior.
