This Mid-20th century Turkish Anatolian gallery carpet presents a bold geometric composition arranged across a deep charcoal-black field. Eight large octagonal medallions appear in two vertical columns, each rendered in warm taupe and framed by stepped bands of ivory, orange, burgundy, pale blue, and black. Their central cruciform devices introduce crisp architectural detail, while the repeated arrangement creates a steady rhythm suited to the elongated format. A narrow crimson inner border, punctuated by small multicolored squares, encloses the field and adds lively contrast. Beyond it, a broad ivory outer border carries a continuous angular meander in muted rose and brown, completing the disciplined design. The strong dark ground, warm neutral medallions, and carefully controlled accents give the carpet a distinctive folk-modern character. Its substantial proportions make it especially well suited to a gallery, wide hallway, library, dining area, or long sitting room with presence.
