Most of the … Read more This floor lamp consists of an XL hand-crafted copper crumpled paper ball on a walnut wood base. Most of the time, a paper ball is waste. You throw a misprint, wrong sketch or note in the bin, in the shape of a paper ball. The inspiration for this piece came when, during cleaning and organising, the design duo found these paper balls very inspiring. Beautiful shapes, and a very random and surprising result in each spontaneous action. By changing the scale and material, these paper balls transcend waste and become aesthetic constructive elements.

Because the designers did not find a nice English word for 'paper ball', they used the Dutch word, 'prop', for the model name.
