Stunning, authentic late 19th-century French Art Nouveau gilt bronze pen tray (vide-poche) by renowned artist Guillaume Huygens.

Heavy cast solid bronze with its original antique gilded/doré finish.

This premium, full-length desk accessory features an exquisite, high-relief naturalistic scene depicting three elegant swans gliding through dense bullrushes and stylized pond ripples.

The casting boasts incredible depth, crisp textures, and an organic fluid border typical of the peak Art Nouveau movement.

Clearly incised "G. Huygens" on the lower front right edge.

Perfect as a luxury fountain pen holder, jewelry tray, or a standalone cabinet collector's piece.

Excellent beautiful used antique condition with excellent weight. The front face shows a rich, warm golden luster with minor, authentic age patina and slight oxidation in the deep crevices, which highlights the details beautifully. The reverse remains unpolished and retains its honest, historical dark bronze surface finish. No cracks, chips, warps, or repairs. Normal wear from use and age.
