Beautiful condition, keeping in mind that this is vintage and not new so will have signs of use and wear even if it has been refinished or restored. OH, MY GOODNESS!!! What have we here?? A beautiful buffet? Yes!! Or maybe a charming credenza? Well, yes! What about a spectacular sideboard?? Hmmmm… Also… YES!!! Folks… This is a GORGEOUS credenza, buffet, or sideboard made by Skovby Furniture and stamped “Made in Denmark,” composed of a fabulous teak frame hosting a central bank of 4 stacked drawers bearing beautifully carved or sculpted faces which act as the drawer pulls, and open storage on each side featuring two door panels that slide smoothly to reveal spacious open storage and an adjustable single wood shelf. When you slide the panel from side to side you cover the central drawers and it creates a different look with the cabinet. The top drawer is lined with a lovely green felt fabric to grip those small jewelry pieces and to help slow down the tarnishing process that happens oh-too-quickly on your precious silver pieces. The outer perimeter of the cabinet front features a thicker, rounded wooden border that encapsulated the sliding doors and drawers like a picture frame. WOW!!! And the entire cabinet rests beautifully upon a slightly inset wooden frame bearing spectacular straight square legs. It will be a showstopper in your bedroom, living room, family room, study, or dining area adorned with your favorite artwork, sculptures, or foliage and it has a ton of space for linens, books, games, and everything in between. It is built of high-quality materials, versatility, and a distinct quintessential Scandinavian Modern style aesthetic you are sure to love for years to come. It’s EXACTLY what the designer ordered!!

Scovby Furniture has been a Danish family business since 1933. It was founded by Thorvald Rasmussen with a vision to create a foundation for sustainable and functional furniture designs. He passed away in 1979 but his son Villy Rasmussen and his grandsons Jorgen and Preben have carried on that vision in his memory ever since. In 1974 Scovby revolutionized the dining industry by introducing its first “pull and unfold” extension table with a built-in anchoring mechanism which became one of the company’s signatures.
