Sculptural handblown art glass Hanukkah menorah by Michael Hudson of Hudson Glass. The nine-light form is composed of fluid, twisting glass arms rising from a substantial clear glass base, giving the piece a strong sculptural presence from every angle.
The glass combines deep amethyst-black tones with clear accents and copper-tone candle inserts. The thick clear base reflects the branching forms above and provides visual weight to the composition. Designed as functional Judaica, the menorah also displays beautifully as a piece of contemporary studio glass.
Michael Hudson is a Kentucky-based glass artist whose studio produces handblown candlesticks, menorahs, and other decorative glass objects. Current retailer descriptions identify Hudson Glass menorahs as handmade in Kentucky using traditional glassblowing methods.
