The table features a thick, broad plank board top raised on a trestle base. The trestle showcases a pair of sculptural lyre-form legs joined by an elaborately pierced and scrolled stretcher. The rectangular plank top is assembled from inlaid oak boards in a parquet style with visible breadboard ends. The oak is finished in a warm bleached honey tone, displaying the open grain and figuring of the oak. Each trestle leg is hand-carved in an 'os de mouton' form, ending in bold volute scrolled feet and connected to the other trestle support by carved side stretchers. The legs are joined by a long elaborate stretcher with visible exposed peg joinery carved in a scrolled ribbon form, centered by a stylized fleur-de-lis carving. The table is crafted in an elegant rustic farmhouse country Spanish baroque style, well-suited for a variety of spaces as a dining table, library table, refectory, or console. The table has ample leg room measuring 26.5" from the floor to apron. The table is very heavy and solid having excellent joinery and craftsmanship with a very true and flat top. The bleached finish has a lovely weathered and distressed patina with authentic wear.
