Each chair features dramatically curved, swept open armrests carved from dark-stained oak, terminating in bold scrolled hand rests that give the pair a fluid, almost swan-like silhouette — a defining hallmark of Halabala’s celebrated design language. The backrests are topped with a gently shaped, serpentine crest rail, another signature touch found across his best-known lounge chair models.
Each chair has been recently reupholstered in a plush ivory/cream bouclé fabric by Casamance, giving the pair a fresh, contemporary look while preserving the original wood frame’s period character and patina. The exposed wood frames show an attractive aged finish with visible grain and light surface wear consistent with age, adding to their authentic vintage charm.
