Two stylized birds appear among dense flowering branches and foliage, surrounded by richly worked decorative borders. The imagery recalls the traditional Persian gol-o-morgh (“flower and bird”) decorative tradition, a centuries-old motif found throughout Persian art and decorative objects.

The design was worked in relief from the reverse and extensively chased, punched, and incised from the front. Particularly impressive is the dense ring-punched texturing throughout the background, which gives the composition remarkable depth and visual texture.

The naturally aged copper surface displays warm reddish-brown tones, darker oxidation, surface variation, and scattered traces of blue-green verdigris. The reverse retains reddish-brown and dark residue within portions of the worked surface, possibly associated with the traditional chasing and repoussé process. This material has been left undisturbed.

A soldered copper hanging loop on the reverse allows the charger to be displayed as wall art.

Condition: Good vintage condition with age-related surface wear, scratches, oxidation, patina, scattered verdigris, and irregularities consistent with age and hand workmanship. Old reddish-brown and dark residue remains on portions of the reverse and has not been removed. The copper has not been polished or restored.
