Antique French Commode Chest of Drawers Louis XVI Walnut Brass c1940.
Direct from France, a charming antique Louis XVI commode or chest of drawers with a classic French silhouette.
The chest features three full-width drawers with brass rosette backplates and ring pulls, along with matching faux keyhole escutcheons.
The paneled drawer fronts are flanked by rounded fluted corners that extend to tapered fluted legs with brass sabots.
Both sides are also paneled and finished with fluted uprights along the back edges, continuing the classic Louis XVI design.
Quality throughout with dovetailed drawers; well built by craftsmen of the period, circa 1940.
Measurements: 32” Height x 33.5” Width x 16” Depth.
