Charming vintage French-style demilune side table featuring richly figured burl wood veneers and elegant brass detailing. Its petite proportions and graceful half-moon form make this an especially versatile accent piece for a bedroom, entryway, hallway, or alongside a favorite chair.
The table features three curved drawers fitted with petite brass pulls, beautifully figured burl veneers across the top, drawer fronts, and curved sides, and slender cabriole-inspired legs. Decorative brass mounts flank the drawers and continue to brass sabots at the front feet.
One of its most distinctive details is the pierced brass gallery surrounding the demilune top, decorated with a repeating heart-shaped motif that gives the piece an unusual and whimsical touch while retaining its traditional European character.
The combination of warm burl wood, aged brass and petite scale gives this table wonderful decorative presence without overwhelming a room.
