Measuring 8'6" x 11'3" (258 x 343 cm), the deep navy field is densely filled with scrolling arabesque vines and blossoms, centered on a round rust-and-gold medallion with a floral rosette heart. The four gold spandrels are filled with hunting scenes — mounted horsemen pursuing deer and game amid dense foliage.

A wide crimson border carries a procession of cartouche medallions with animal and bird figures connected by scrolling vine, framed by guard bands of rosettes. Finished with fringe at both ends, in good, presentable condition. A dramatic, richly detailed rug suited to a formal living room or dining room. See less
