Beautiful vintage handwoven bamboo tray acquired in Japan in the 1980s. Traditionally, trays of this form were used for winnowing and sorting rice, grains and seeds, as well as drying and preparing foods.
22.75” w x 19.75” H x 2” D
Features a tightly woven surface, wrapped bamboo rim and wonderful warm, aged patina. A great decorative piece displayed on a tabletop or hung on the wall.
Vintage condition with age-appropriate wear and some loose/broken wrapping along the rim, as shown in photos.
