This Qashqai Lion carpet features a Kashkouli style weave. Highlighting the powerful imagery of a prowling Lion, the carpet's central motif features a cream lion atop a rich red background. Utilizing the contrasting hues between the light cream background, weavers designated the alternating tones to depict depth and detailing for the lion's mane, paws, ears, and tail. Furthermore, the eye of the lion and torso detailing, completed in dark indigo, adds character to the lion. Adding life to the geometric cream wool detail the exterior with dark gray outlining each motif.
