It is finished with William Morris's Compton pattern, a botanical design of flowers and foliage from Morris & Co. in the late Victorian period. William Morris (1834 to 1896) was an English textile and wallpaper designer and the founder of Morris & Co. The pattern covers the inside and outside of a rounded, deep bowl, and the rim has a gold leaf edge. The style is Art Nouveau and Victorian, and this statement piece suits English traditional, cottage, and traditional interiors. The bowl measures 10 by 10 by 5 inches. Use it as a centerpiece, as a catchall for keys and mail, or as a decorative bowl for fruit, ornaments, or potpourri, on a dining table, kitchen island, coffee table, console, sideboard, or entry table. Wipe the surface clean and do not submerge it. See less
