Double sided and nicely detailed - tail, hooves, body, face, with nicely finished frame joints.

30" long by 18" tall - about .75" deep. A great size for display.

Hollow construction as al the best ones were, in keeping with the original purposes of the piece - to show wind direction on a roof or field post.

One side is very old paint finished in silver, while the other presents as aged metal finish. Both work well together - and you have a choice as you might display it.

Acquired from a significant Virginia collection of Primitive, Equestrian and Agrarian American Antiques - strong pedigree.
