Exceptional hand-blown studio art glass vase by the renowned California glass studio Cohn-Stone Studios (founded by Michael Cohn and Molly Stone). Crafted in 2000, this vessel belongs to their celebrated Tortoise Shell series, featuring an intricate, mottled cell-pattern exterior in rich shades of warm amber, honey, and chestnut brown.
The piece showcases remarkable craftsmanship and complex casing.
Interior: Lined with a subtle, luminous opaline/creamy luster interior that shifts beautifully under light.
Form: Classic urn/baluster form with a wide, bulbous body tapering into a graceful neck and a dramatic flared rim.
Base: Fully finished with a spiral-cut, hand-ground polished pontil base. Lightly incised with the authentic artist signature and date: "Stone 2000".
A striking standalone piece for a console table, mantle, or open shelving display. Ideal for Organic Modern, Mid-Century Modern, and upscale transitional interiors.
