Crafted in richly toned mahogany, the oval top is centered by a finely inlaid American eagle and shield motif in contrasting satinwood tones, with delicate line inlay tracing the perimeter.

The table rests on a turned pedestal terminating in a graceful tripod base and retains its functional tilt-top mechanism. Its compact proportions make it particularly appealing beside an armchair or sofa, while the patriotic Federal inlay gives it enough visual interest to stand comfortably in a library, entry hall, or traditionally layered sitting room.

The underside retains its original collection label identifying the model as M-523, “Tip-Top Table,” Sheraton (American), circa 1800–1810, and noting the source as Carroll Mansion, Baltimore, Maryland, with a 1938 reproduction date. That surviving documentation gives the piece considerably more context than an unidentified period revival table.
