Revitalizing the Neoclassical style that was first popular in the late 1700s and early 1800s, this mahogany game table was made in the early 1900s in the United States. While its challenging to pinpoint an exact location since regional styles had spread throughout the country by this time, the inlay patterns and double taper to the feet are characteristics furniture makers in Massachusetts were known for during the Neoclassical period.
The quality of the mahogany and inlay used in this table is practically on par with period pieces. We thought it was from early 1800s until we saw it in person and saw the construction techniques placed it in the early 1900s. The benefit of buying a benchmade reproduction like this table is that you can get the fabulous aesthetics that come with pieces from this period but without the wear and marks of older pieces.
