The piece has developed a beautiful aged, darkened patina with areas of warm brass and greenish oxidation that add to its antique character.
The chamberstick has a distinctive raised central column with stepped, concentric detailing at the base and a broad, slightly domed candle cup. The original finger ring makes the piece both decorative and functional, allowing it to be carried safely with a lit candle.
The surface shows the expected signs of age and use, including oxidation, discoloration, surface wear, scratches, and patination consistent with a 19th-century antique. It has not been overly polished, preserving much of its original aged appearance.
