An exceptionally vibrant original 1985 painting by renowned German artist Peter Robert Keil, showcasing the expressive, spontaneous style that has made Keil’s work so instantly recognizable.
This striking portrait is built around bold blocks of orange, yellow, turquoise, purple, pink, and black, with exaggerated eyes and facial features that give the figure an almost theatrical presence. Keil’s energetic black outlines and loose, gestural brushwork create tremendous movement across the composition.
The painting is signed and dated “P. Keil ’85’ by the artist.
Presented in a dramatic ornate carved-style frame that beautifully contrasts with the modern, highly expressive artwork.
