Description

Decorative vintage cast iron architectural grate or fireplace/fender screen featuring an elaborate symmetrical openwork design with scrolling foliage, flowers, palmettes and classical Victorian-style ornament.

The substantial half-round form measures approximately 34 inches wide x 17 inches high. The back has several small rubber feet/bumpers, allowing the piece to rest against or in front of a surface without the iron directly contacting it.

Heavy cast construction with an attractive dark/black finish. The intricate openwork makes this a striking decorative architectural element and it could be used in numerous ways—as a fireplace or hearth accent, decorative grate, door or wall ornament, garden architectural piece, or incorporated into an interior-design project.
