Striking pair of vintage Chinoiserie-inspired table lamps featuring deep teal-blue panels decorated with hand-painted-style floral motifs. Each substantial rectangular body is framed by elaborately detailed gilt-finished architectural moldings, including repeating leaf and carved-style decoration along the stepped bases and upper borders.
The combination of saturated teal, burgundy floral decoration and beautifully aged gilt finish gives the pair a wonderfully collected, sophisticated appearance. Their strong geometric form is balanced by the more delicate Asian-inspired floral decoration, making them equally suited to traditional, eclectic or layered contemporary interiors.
The lamps retain an attractive aged patina to the gilt surfaces, adding depth and character. Fitted with double sockets and adjustable harp hardware. Newly fitted white rectangular shades are included.
A particularly handsome pair for a console, large chest, bedside tables or flanking a sofa.
