Exceptional pair of vintage Lane Furniture “Pueblo” collection nightstands, dating to the 1970s.
One of Lane’s most recognizable Brutalist designs, the Pueblo collection is defined by its highly sculptural geometric façade. Each of these two-door cabinets features an intricate relief composition of dimensional wood elements, varied textures and subtle contrasting color accents, centered by elongated recessed rectangular details.
The heavily textured fronts contrast beautifully with the simple architectural cases, creating a strong sculptural presence associated with the American Brutalist furniture movement of the period. The design is often compared stylistically to the work of Paul Evans, while remaining distinctly Lane.
Each cabinet offers enclosed bedside storage and can function equally well as a nightstand, end table or small accent cabinet.
The two pieces have developed somewhat different coloration over their lifetime, with one presenting noticeably more wear and variation than the other. We personally like the honest vintage character, but both would also be excellent candidates for professional refinishing.

The two nightstands are slightly different in coloration, with one showing more wear and finish variation than the other. Both have assorted marks, scratches, scuffs and general surface wear from previous use. One nightstand has a substantial amount of water staining and water rings to the top, which are clearly visible and should be expected. The existing finishes show enough wear that both pieces would benefit from professional refinishing if a more pristine appearance is desired. Despite the cosmetic wear, both nightstands are structurally sound and remain functional and usable in their current condition. We have photographed the pair thoroughly and have made no attempt to conceal or minimize any imperfections. Please review all photographs carefully, as they are considered an important part of the condition report. less
