For Christofle, it represented a deliberate formal experiment: the Ombelle vase, created in 1904, embodies this concept with a particularly refined formal coherence.

On the reverse of the base, the Gallia/Christofle hallmark with the Gallic rooster is impressed, along with the model number 4657 and a lozenge-shaped hallmark guaranteeing the use of non-precious metal. The piece is in good vintage condition: the silver-plated metal retains its overall luster, with some localized areas of silver loss, consistent with the age of a piece over a century old.
